Proctor Labs

CHINA, MICHIGAN — February 05, 2009 — Proctor Labs continues to lead the CCIE rack rental marketplace with the availability of racks matching the new Version 3 lab exam blueprints for the Voice and Security tracks. Going above and beyond the initiative to offer the most up-to-date Cisco hardware among vendors worldwide, we are also pleased to announce many new features and functions, only available at Proctor Labs. The first of these features is the ability to load initial configurations for any of the IPexpert workbook labs within any Volume, without the need to open text files or copy/paste anything in a router or switch. This ability includes all servers. For example, on a Security rack, the ACS server DB will be restored. On a Voice rack, the CUCM-Pub, CUCM-Sub, CUPS, and UC DB will be restored to where they need to be for any given technology-focused or multi-protocol lab. Proctor Labs customers will also be able to clear any terminal server line (or clear all lines) and revert the entire rack back to a blank default status. This will be a great benefit to those renting extended back-to-back sessions needing to revert everything, then load new configs to begin a new lab scenario. We have empowered our customers with the ability to start, stop and revert VMWare Guest servers back to a snapshot. If you only want to clear the config on one server, for example, this will be a great tool. CCIE Voice rack users can input their own MAC address in order to use their own PSTN phone (software or hardware). Additional features for CCIE Voice candidates include the ability to dynamically change the PSTN simulator (router) for E1-R2 or E1-PRI as well as the ability to dynamically change the PSTN’s dialplan. This will provide experience studying with a variety of dialplans, so you do not go to the actual lab exam with one specific dialplan in mind. Also added are new clients (for a total of 3 supported software clients) for your SCCP and SIP devices connecting to CUCM and CUCME. For an in-depth explanation of the new features, including demonstrations on their use, we invite you to watch our 39-minute video, recorded in hi-def for a better viewing experience. The video covers the features and functionality that will be of interest to both CCIE Voice and CCIE Security candidates. Also, we show Voice customers how to correctly setup the IPBlue client to work for both signaling and RTP streams going to the proper instance of the client to be quickly deployed every future time you open it. To view this video demonstration, follow this link: http://proctorlabs.com/swf/demo/PLDemo.html CCIE Candidates pursuing the current (Version 2) lab blueprints do not need to worry. We will continue offering rental on a subset of Proctor Labs racks that have not been upgraded to match the new blueprint. If you do not already have study materials to begin your CCIE lab preparation, go to www.IPexpert.com for the most up-to-date products available anywhere. IPexpert is already releasing its revised product line for both tracks; Voice and Security!
